ROTOCARE'13 - {Aged Home Visit}

rotocare

            On August 15th, 2013, 36 members from Rotoract club in National Engineering College visited the ‘Drumm Trust’ Aged Home, at Ettiyapuram; Tamilnadu. Our team reached that home by 10:00 am. There were about 82 aged people in that trust. They were very happy to receive our team with their smiling faces.

             The trust chairman cordially welcomed us and helped us through out the day. The chairman and president of the Rotary club, Kovilpatti also arrived there. We distributed sweets and mixture. We gave them the dresses which we had collected from our college, and bought them furniture, mates, fruits, soaps, detergents, etc., we planted the saplings (orange, guava, mango, amla, eucalyptes, pomegranate) that we brought from our college. At noon, we prepared chicken biriyani and served it to them. After our lunch we all enjoyed delicious ice creams and cold drinks. Then, we had entertainment with our members dancing, singing and making merry. They enjoyed our presence to the fullest. In the evening, we had our tea and snacks prepared by ourselves. After a while we cleaned the whole area to tip. As the dawn began to break into dusk, we waved good bye to them. We reached the college at 5:30pm.
